Interior Wood Surface Preparation

Removing years off antique hardwood floors and cabinets, while preserving the history.

Refinish-Ready Surfaces Without Sanding Through the Face

Each conventional sanding removes 1/16" to 1/8" of wood — a problem for floors on their third refinishing or engineered hardwood with a 2mm veneer. Laser removes only the finish coating, with negligible material loss, preserving the original face and all remaining refinishing cycles.

Interior Wood Prep Applications

We handle hardwood floor refinishing prep, engineered hardwood restoration where thin veneers can't survive conventional sanding, kitchen and cabinet refinishing prep, interior millwork and built-in preparation, furniture stripping, and adhesive residue removal from floors after rug or flooring removal.

Common question

How does laser preparation compare to drum sanding for hardwood floor refinishing?

Drum sanding removes up to 1/8" per sequence. Laser removes only the finish layer — floor thickness, plank character, and remaining refinishing cycles are fully preserved.
